The university provides more than 175 majors and concentrations, including a Master of Business Administration that can be completed entirely online.

The online MBA program at Purdue Global does not require applicants to hold a bachelor’s degree in business. Instead, a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in undergraduate work is required for consideration. If you don’t have a 2.5 GPA, but can demonstrate strong academic potential in other ways (such as a high GMAT score), you may still be admitted.

University of Florida

The University of Florida (UF) was established in 1853 and has grown to serve more than 56,000 students. More than 300 degree and certificate programs are available across 16 different schools. Its Gainesville, Florida, campus is spread out over more than two thousand acres.

A four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and two years of full-time work experience are prerequisites for UF’s online MBA program. The GMAT score is taken into account by the university as a measure of the applicant’s potential for academic achievement.

University of Maryland

Over 41,000 students are enrolled in courses at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD), the flagship campus of the University System of Maryland. Founded in 1856 as Maryland Agricultural College, the University of Maryland has since changed its name to College Park. Its 13 different schools and colleges collectively provide more than 230 different majors and minors.

Applicants to the University of Maryland’s online MBA program at the Robert H. Smith School of Business must have a minimum of two years of professional work experience and a GPA of 2.80 or higher in their undergraduate studies as well as a GMAT (or GRE predicted GMAT) score of at least 550. There is no prerequisite for this online Master of Business Administration program.

NC State University

NC State, or North Carolina State University, was founded in 1887 as a public institution of higher education in Raleigh. There are eleven undergraduate colleges, one graduate college, and sixty-five different departments under its umbrella. Over 36,000 students are enrolled in the university’s 300 degree programs. The University of North Carolina owns and operates this facility.

In Fall 2018, only 23% of applicants to NC State’s online MBA program had a bachelor’s degree in business. The remaining 30% were from engineering programs, 29% were from math/science programs, and 20% were from humanities/social science programs. As can be seen, a business degree is not necessary to enroll in NC State University’s online MBA program. Applicants are required to have a minimum of two years of professional work experience in addition to an undergraduate degree and official GMAT or GRE scores.

Oregon State University

Oregon State University, located in Corvallis, is a public institution of higher education that dates back 151 years. This school has over 32,000 students from more than 100 countries and all 50 U.S. states. Its 13 different schools allow for over 300 different degree options.

The online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Oregon State accepts students from a wide range of academic backgrounds.

If you don’t have a bachelor’s degree in business or even a minor in business, you’ll have to prove to the school that you have a solid grounding in business by submitting relevant coursework. In addition, you’ll need to show proof that you’ve aced the GMAT, GRE, or Executive Assessment.

George Mason University
