Title: Goddard School, Northborough, Massachusetts
Abstract: Goddard School is a franchise daycare and early childhoold institution. The original lighting called for 2 x 4 foot ceiling lights with 4 T-8 lamps. Glare and uneven lighting was a concern. The school states its aim is to provide a "warm, loving atmosphere to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of its children" and the current lighting design did not achieve the goal. Natural outside light and low-glare energy-saving overheads and more were selected to meet the goals.
